What are the Advantages of Using a Travel Advisor?

We understand that with the advent of the internet, anyone could become their own travel agent, but the advantages of using a travel advisor remain:

Customization: We tailor your travel arrangements to meet your specific interests and needs versus mass-market packages.

Amenities: We have special relationships with our preferred partners (select hotels, resorts, cruise lines, etc.), as well as an special affiliations (with Virtuoso, Stars, Luxury Privileges, and more!), which allow us to offer value-added amenities to elevate your trip and give you VIP status, such as:

  • complimentary breakfasts,

  • early check in/late check out (subject to availability),

  • upgrades at booking or upon check in (subject to availability), and

  • resort, spa, or food & beverage credits)*.

Expertise: Travel advisors tend to be travel junkies and we pay attention to the nuances! From which time of the year is best to visit a specific destination to which hotel rooms have the best views. And in instances when we haven’t traveled to a particular destination or stayed at a particular hotel or resort, we’ll gladly pull in colleagues or partners who have for their expertise!

Time Savings: Most people don’t have the time to sift through endless websites and reviews, but with our expertise, we can cut through the bulk and get you the information you need.

Peace of Mind: When your vacation hits a snag, we’re a phone call or email away to help!

*Please note: these amenities may vary depending on the hotel or program.

Why do You Charge Fees?

For straightforward hotel and cruise bookings, we do NOT charge fees. That is because we get compensated directly by the supplier.

However, when we research and draft customized proposals for you (which include a suggested itinerary and price estimate), we ask for a modest trip planning fee to compensate us for our time, expertise and our ability to leverage our exclusive relationships. The fee also ensures our mutual commitment.

Do you Work with Any Budget?

Generally speaking, if you’re looking for the cheapest flight or a bargain hotel, your best bet is to look online at aggregator websites.

But, if you like to stay in 4 star and higher hotels, using a travel advisor is worth considering. We can take your vacations from ordinary to extraordinary with some of the special perks we can offer.
